Client access is a Tave feature which allows your clients to view quotes, contracts, pay for services (if you've made this option available) and update their contact information - all from the web. This article is strictly dealing with how to send a quote via client access. Any quotes you make for a client/lead will be accessible via client access. If a client/lead accepts a quote, you will be notified within Tave's Attention Needed box - the red one on the main page - and via email if you've added your email under Settings › Studio Settings
First you want to make a quote for your client/lead:
1. Click on Jobs in the left navigation.
2. Select a job for a client/lead. You'll be taken to screen showing that particular job.
3. In the Quotes & Sales Orders box near the bottom of the page, click "New Quote."
4. Create the quote.
5. Click the Save button.
Now your client/lead has a quote assigned to them.
You're now going to give your client/lead client access via a web link to the quote:
1. Click on Clients in the left navigation
2. Select the client you just created a quote. By the way, this client will need to have an email address.
3. On the right-hand side of the screen you'll see the Client Access box. Click the "click to enable" link.
4. A link will be generated in this client access box.
1. Email the link to your client/lead.

I created a quote for the client, but you cannot view the "description" in the client access view -which is the most important part. How can the client view the description for the quote?
oh i figured a way around it... i can add a "message" to the client. and just copy/paste the quote description there for the client to view. Thanks! :)
Thanks for the tip one thing when I testing with a dummy client, whenever I tried to approve of the quote it will just redirect me back to the client's home page?
Am I missing anything?
Hey Marius,
We do not approve the quote when you are in Preview Mode. You have to use the drop down in the upper right to jump to the payment page.
Cheers
Awesome Jason, that explains it. Thanks a bunch.
how do I create a pdf of the quote if I want to send it by email instead?
I use a program called CutePDF free version. Essentially its a dummy printer. What it does is send whatever you "print" into a new PDF File. So in the case of the quote, I just print the quote then select CutePDF as the printer.
