Thanks for sharing this! I've installed it and have it working but have a couple of issues -
1. Emails I receive are putting WordPress in front of the email address as if that is the person's name. Do you know how to stop that?
2. How do make this work with my other brand? I have set it up on my boudoir blog and receive the emails but it does not generate leads in Tave.

Does any one have advice for setting this up with my second brand? Inquiries from my second site do not generate leads, and I cannot figure it out.
are you using this with the T3 system? I havnt uploaded the new t3 version yet as a few things have changed.

ok, for the other brand, or to assign the second brand to that contact, you need to make another field in the contact form for that site for the brand you want.. the field should be hidden so you don't have to show it to the client on your site.. so here are some screen shots to help you figure out where.
first screen shot shows the field names you can use, and the one you want to add is the one for brand. the default value of it needs to be set as your brands id.. to find that its on the second screen shot in the URL from my browser where it says c20e4tTO.. you need to go into your brand in tave and the ID= on the end of the url is the default data you need to set for that field..

Yeah, I was lost just a moment a go.. turns out its too easy, the plugin maker doesn't explain it. when your editing your form in the contact form 7 setup there is a drop down box on the right that lets you select the form fields you can choose from, one of them is a hidden field.. when you paste into your form it would be like this:
[hidden Brand "c20e4tTO"]

That is soooo helpful. Except, my drop down tag generator doesn't have the option for hidden field. I pasted in what you showed but with my own brand ID, but it isn't hidden - the code is showing on my contact form. Not sure why I don't have the hidden field option.
oh, did you install the plugin from http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/contact-form-7-modules/ and activate it? this plugin just gives additional features to contact form 7 like hidden fields and dynamic fields.. without that plugin it won't hide the field.
I didn't have the module installed, thank you! But I think I've still done it wrong because, while my field is now hidden, it is still not generating leads for me in Tave. I've done a screen shot of my brand page and of what I typed in my field. It looks right to me, but ???

If any of you have updated your contact form 7 plugin recently you will need to update the tave form plugin too. just download it again from this article above and replace the old one. this version removes the extra data being sent from the contact form thats not supposed to be there. ex: _wponce and _wpcf7_something from getting into your custom fields.

I am having this problem (_wponce, _wpcf7, etc. custom fields being created), but already had the T3 version of your plugin installed. I just uninstalled and reinstalled to confirm, but it's the same plugin version. I have to create a new lead to confirm.
yeah, forgot to update the version at the time of correcting some things. I will be looking into getting it on wordpress.org so when there are revisions your wordpress will let you know to update it.
new version, most don't need to bother. fixes a php error : Warning: curl_setopt() [function.curl-setopt]: CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION cannot be activated when safe_mode is enabled or an open_basedir is set
if you don't see the error don't bother fixing it.

the plugin is great. I modified the old one on my own to let it work with T3, but I do have the issue that the "message" itself is vreated as a custom field, but I'm not able to see the content in Tave. Any suggestions?

You need to go into the Tave settings (in Wordpress; see screenshot), and put the name of your message field in the fields to exclude (again, see screenshot).
All this is a bit too complicated. With Tave2 I used an iframe, but with the upgrade and introduction of brands this iframe now has header and title and background image etc that I need to get rid of.
How do I strip out this additional formatting? Thanks

if I exclude it, it is not sent to Tave at all. This is not what I want. I would likt to have the message in my conversations related to the event. Not to the contact. Currentyl the message is in the contact and not very convenient to find.
@Jürgen, it might be time to update the plugin from your modified version to the current one on the forum or from my site. perhaps you missed something, it would be best to start from scratch with the plugin. reinstall and copy and paste your details back into it, then test again.
@Chris, copy and paste this into your advanced editor for the brand you wish to strip the excess from:

Works great! Just one problem,
I now receive one email from contact form and then another notification from Tave.
How can I disable the notification email from Tave?
So as of today, I'm not sure how long it's been going on but somewhere between March 8th & now... I now only get one email, just the notification email from Tave. I would prefer it to be the other way around. Is it a problem with the Tave plugin?
@ Andreas, your only or best bet is to simply apply a filter on your email application or server to simply put it in the trash, but i find having both a good thing, because if I receive one and not the other then i know something is up and need to check things out with the settings.

@Heather, its not the tave plugin because if you recieve the tave email its working properly, if your missing the other email its because something has changed in the contact form 7 plugin.. best place to start is to check and see if that email is now marked as spam by accicdent, next check if your email address is in the plugin correctly (see attached screenshot) (the bottom left box that has e.r@rowellphoto.com needs to have your address in there.
